The Italian Competition Authority has begun an investigation into multinational luxury fashion houses Armani and Dior over the alleged exploitation of workers in their supply chains.

According to the authority in Rome, the brands may have used suppliers employing migrant garment workers forced to work in poor conditions beyond legal limits and for inadequate pay.
