A San Francisco District Court this week dismissed a lawsuit against X, formerly Twitter, accusing Elon Musk’s social media giant of failing to pay severance to laid-off employees.

After Musk completed his $44bn (£34bn) acquisition of Twitter in October 2022, one of his first moves was to lay off half its workforce, triggering a wave of lawsuits against the company.
