A massive remote working scam that saw Fortune 500 companies lose data and millions of dollars after hiring North Korean IT workers posing as Americans has senior management rushing to review their recruitment and outsourcing policies.

In a statement released on 16 May by the US Attorney’s office for the District of Colombia, a number of North Koreans allegedly used stolen identities to seek remote employment in elite US businesses.
