UK Amazon workers reject union in agonisingly close vote

A British trade union has promised to continue its legal challenge against Amazon after Coventry warehouse workers chose to reject a historic union recognition deal by less than 1% of votes.

The GMB union announced the results of its long-awaited election vote today, revealing that just 50.5% of the warehouse’s 2,600 workers voted against the offer of representation, which would have marked the first time the online retail giant recognised a union in the UK.
