A federal judge has affirmed safety violations against United Airlines after a Boeing 737’s tyre crushed a technician’s foot as they worked with one of the airline’s towing crews.

The 23 April 2024 decision by the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission agreed with a citation issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for violating the general duty clause and its proposed $14,502 (£11,351) penalty, the maximum amount allowed.
