Beijing’s new fast-track multiple entry travel permit for foreigners in the Greater Bay region will give Hong Kong a much-needed boost in its efforts to relaunch itself as premier business hub.

Currently, Chinese residents of Hong Kong and Macau can enter mainland China using a “Home Return Permit”, which provides fast-track channels though immigration; meanwhile, foreign residents of the special administrative regions must apply for a travel visa.
