A female Lyft driver has filed a lawsuit in Texas accusing the ride-sharing giant of failing to protect its drivers after she was sexually assaulted at gunpoint by a passenger.

The driver, referred to in the lawsuit as “JW” out of fear for her safety, was working part-time as a Lyft driver in the Houston area in June 2023 when the assault occurred.
