The owner of eight Dunkin’ franchises across three states has been fined more than $40,000 for employing minors during school hours in violation of federal labour law.

A US Department of Labor investigation found Dunkin’ locations in Maryland and West Virginia had 19 minors, aged 14 and 15, operating baking ovens and working outside the permissible hours between November 2020 and November 2022.
