Toxic authoritarian work cultures, also known as “gapjil”, are an ongoing problem in South Korea’s workplaces, according to a new survey. 

The research by Workplace Gapjil 119, an NGO that assists victims of workplace abuse, found that 40% of workers who reported gapjil faced retaliation from their superiors.
