A new global study has revealed that one-fifth of the world’s workforce is experiencing loneliness.

Gallup’s new State of the Global Workplace: 2024 Report, which polled more than 128,000 workers worldwide, warns that work location has the biggest impact on loneliness.

Employees who work fully remotely reported the highest levels of loneliness (25%) – this is more than hybrid workers (21%), and those who work exclusively on site (16%).
