Whistleblowers from OpenAI have filed a complaint with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) accusing the ChatGPT developer of illegally prohibiting its workers from warning regulators about the risks of the technology.
In a seven-page letter sent to the SEC earlier this month, the whistleblowers said the company uses overly restrictive employment, severance, and non-disclosure agreements that could result in punishment for workers who raise concerns with federal regulators.
