When comparing in-house and private practice roles, Wendy Wong, head of Simmons & Simmons’ Asia employment group, is under no illusion about who has the tougher gig. 

“I believe I have the relatively easier job of advising on the law and coming up with some commercially viable solutions and their risks. But for in-house, law isn’t really the only thing that matters; the challenge lies in implementation and execution,” she tells IEL.
