New research from the Trades Union Congress (TUC) suggests more than 1 million UK workers were “cheated” out of around £2bn worth of holiday pay last year.

According to a new report published by the trade union federal, 1.1 million workers did not take any of the statutory paid holiday they were entitled to last year. On average, this means affected employees lost £1,800 in 2023, the union body claims.
