More than 200 unfair dismissal claims have been filed against Virgin Atlantic, alleging that the airline used covid redundancies as an excuse to get rid of older staff members.

A London employment tribunal will examine the claims from former cabin crew next month, with claimants expected to argue that Virgin disproportionately targeted them for redundancy while retaining cheaper and less-experienced talent.
