ACLU claim of employee racism “not borne out”, judge rules

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has been ordered to reinstate an employee it had fired after failing to prove she directed racist language towards Black managers.

Kate Oh, a senior policy counsel at the ACLU, was fired in May 2022 after exhibiting “a tendency to cast her complaints using hyperbolic and exaggerated language”, the human rights and free speech group claimed.
