In a first for Malaysia, the country’s newly dedicated sexual harassment tribunal has ordered an employer to apologise for sexually harassing a female employee.
The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry did not release any further details of the case other than to say that the 12 July verdict had been returned in the mandated 60 days.
Anti-Sexual Harassment Tribunal (TAGS) cases are heard in private; however, details can be made public if the offence took place in a public setting.
