UK equality body launches consultation on harassment guidelines

The UK’s equality watchdog is seeking views on new sexual harassment guidelines for the workplace ahead of new rules set to come into force on 26 October.

From October, employers must take “reasonable steps” to prevent sexual harassment at work, which is defined as unwanted conduct of a sexual nature that violates a person’s dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating, or offensive environment.
