Today is National Temporary Workers Day here in the UK. The campaign, launched earlier this year by Leicester and Leeds-based Accept Recruitment, aims to recognise the vital contribution temporary employees make to the companies they serve and the wider economy.

The cynical amongst you might think this is just a clever marketing gimmick from a recruitment agency looking to drum up new business. But, dig a little deeper, and it is clear employers around the globe can do more to acknowledge the transient elements of their workforce.
